Hi All,
I've recently purchased a Dell Vostro 470 Mini-Tower and, according to the specs, thought it was "vPro" enabled:
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System
- 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7-3770 processor (3.40GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.90GHz)
- Intel Intel HD Graphics 2500
According to this, ARK | Intel® Core™ i7-3770 Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz), it should have vPro, but it does not. The "Intel i7" logo sticker on the box does not have "vPro".
This screenshot is from the "Intel Process ID Utility v 4.55". This tool does not appear to identify correctly the vPro capabilities because i've ran it on a system that's already configured and enabled, and it showed exactly the same results.
Questions:
- Is there a tool that will cleary identify it the CPU is vPro ?
- Can I just swap out a "Intel i7" chip with a "Intel i7 with vPro" chip?
Regards,
John
